Corrections Policy
How readers can report errors and how Buy Luxury Makeup reviews, corrects and records material changes.
We correct confirmed factual errors and clarify wording that could materially mislead a reader’s decision.
How to report an issue
Use the Contact page and include the page URL, the exact statement or link in question and any supporting information that can help us verify the report. A clear report makes it easier to distinguish a factual error from a difference of opinion or an individual product experience.
What happens after a report
- The editorial team reviews the cited page and the current product or policy information.
- The relevant evidence, link destination and publication record are checked.
- A confirmed error is corrected as soon as practical.
- A material change is recorded in the page’s update or correction note.
- An unverified request is not used to remove accurate criticism or a meaningful limitation.
What counts as a material correction
A correction is material when it changes a product identity, important variation, evidence label, availability conclusion, comparison result, safety wording, recommendation or affiliate destination. A change is also material when the original wording could reasonably lead a reader to make a different decision.
Minor edits and routine updates
Spelling, grammar, formatting and broken internal-link fixes may be made without a formal correction note when they do not change the meaning. Routine updates may add a newly validated alternative, remove an unavailable item or improve clarity without correcting a factual error.
Disagreements and uncertainty
Not every disagreement is a factual error. Product performance can vary by shade, application, skin preparation, environment and personal preference. When reliable information conflicts, the page may explain the uncertainty rather than presenting one disputed claim as settled fact.
Independence of the correction process
Corrections are not exchanged for payment, samples, links or favorable coverage. The goal is an accurate and useful page, not the protection of a brand, retailer or affiliate relationship.
Response and privacy
We may not be able to respond individually to every message, but credible reports are reviewed. Contact details supplied with a correction request are used to evaluate and respond to that request in line with the site’s privacy policy.
